✅ 1. Basic Documentary Requirements

•  Duly Accomplished Certificate of Completion

•  As-Built Plans (signed and sealed by professionals)

•  Building Permit (Original & Photocopy)

•  Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (from BFP)

•  Photocopy of Valid IDs of the owner/applicant

•  Barangay Clearance (for occupancy or residency)

🏗️ 2. Technical Documents (Signed & Sealed by Professionals)

•  Certificate of Completion (Architect or Civil Engineer)

•  Construction Logbook (showing construction progress)

•  Construction Photographs (key phases: foundation, framing, completion)

•  Certificate of Final Inspection (Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing)

•  Certificate of Installation/Testing for:

  •  Electrical System

  •  Plumbing System

  •  Mechanical system (if any)

•  Electrical Permit and Final Electrical Inspection Report

🔥 3. Fire Safety Requirements (from BFP)

•  Fire extinguisher (minimum 5 lbs)

•  Fire exits (for multi-storey buildings)

•  Smoke detectors and alarm system (if applicable)

•  Emergency lights (if applicable)

💧 4. Utility and Health Clearances

•  Sanitary/Health Clearance (City/Municipal Health Office)

•  Water System Clearance (if connected to a utility)

•  Sewage/Septic Tank Compliance

•  Electrical Connection Clearance (for utility hookup)

📋 5. Final Steps

•  Pay corresponding Occupancy Permit Fee

•  Schedule final inspection by the Office of the Building Official (OBO)

•  Post the Certificate of Occupancy visibly on site once released

⚠️ Important Notes

• All permits and certificates must be consistent with the original building permit.

• Occupancy Permit is required before applying for water and electricity service in most LGUs.

• No person may lawfully occupy the building without this permit.
