What if one of Cagayan de Oro’s most significant landmark projects is now moving from structure into visible finishing work? That is why the Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple continues to draw attention. Current temple construction updates show the project has already passed key structural milestones. The official project-tracking site reports that structural framing topped out earlier, interior framing got underway, and more recent updates show exterior cladding progress, roof decking installation, and continuing work on the support facilities behind the temple.
The temple is rising on Rosario Limketkai Avenue in Cagayan de Oro, and it is not a single-building project only. Current updates describe an ancillary building behind the temple that will house an arrival center, patron housing, and distribution center, with its own structural walls and roof-truss works also advancing. One recent update says stone cladding on the exterior has been completed enough for scaffolding to be removed in parts, which signals the project is well into its exterior finishing phase.
For CDO, this is more than a church construction story. It reflects another major landmark project taking shape in the city’s urban corridor, adding to the mix of civic, residential, and institutional developments now reshaping key areas of Cagayan de Oro. The temple was officially announced in 2018, and groundbreaking was held on August 31, 2024.
